What is it?

C.R.O.W.N.ED in STEM is a culturally responsive program under Don’t Adjust Your C.R.O.W.N. that fuses identity, creativity, and engineering. We provide hands-on STEM learning opportunities for K–12 students, especially Black girls and youth of color, through workshops and experiences that affirm who they are while helping them build who they want to become.

We believe every student deserves the tools to design, build, and lead boldly—with their CROWN intact.

We center Black and Brown youth, but our programs are open to all students in inclusive environments that celebrate diversity and brilliance.

Programs Offered

🔧 Engineer Your C.R.O.W.N. (Grades 6–12)

Middle and high school students explore mechanical design, coding, and creative problem-solving while engineering devices that reflect their identities.

💡 CROWNed Innovators Lab (Grades K–5)

Young learners discover science, engineering, and self-expression through age-appropriate, hands-on fun.

- Building bridges and towers with everyday materials
- “STEM Spa Day” with chemistry experiments
- Story-based problem solving with a STEM twist

💜 STEM & Self-Worth Workshop Series

This series explores the intersection of science, identity, and emotional resilience. Each workshop blends STEM activities with journaling, goal-setting, and positive affirmation exercises.
Perfect for Girl Empowerment Days, school SEL programs, and after-school clubs.
